Ray gave us a very interesting classification talk last week. It is inspiring to see all he has accomplished. Welcome Ray we are so lucky to have you in our club!!

• Ray Stock grew up in the Bucks County countryside outside of Doylestown in the 1950’s and 1960’s.
• He graduated from Central Bucks High School.
• He worked on farms as a teenager and also raised cattle and sheep on his family property.
• His wife, Jeanne, is a Kutztown graduate and retired graphic designer who had her own publication design business serving many Lehigh Valley clients.
• She is a fine arts pastel painter and a member of local art clubs.
• Ray and Jeanne will be celebrating their 50th anniversary in September.
• They have two grown sons and two grandsons.
• Ray graduated from Franklin and Marshall College and went on to receive his veterinary medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
• He practiced veterinary medicine in the Lehigh Valley for almost 30 years and was a partner in Northside Animal Hospital in Bethlehem.
• During this time he was active in local, state, and university veterinary associations.
• After leaving practice he was appointed as a Congressional Science Fellow, serving one year in a Pennsylvania congressional office in Washington, DC.
• For two years after the Fellowship he was Assistant Director of Government Relations for the American Veterinary Medical Association in Washington, DC.
• For the last 11 years of his career he was a Professional Service Veterinarian in the Animal Health Division of the German pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim.
• In retirement he is a Penn State Master Gardener, a member of the Lehigh Valley Torch Club, and volunteers at the Lowhill Food Pantry.

Our first mixer of the year is set for 9/10 in Downtown Allentown, 5-7pm. Details:

• Venue: Arts Walk Pocket Park 65 N Church Street

• What’s provided: Music, cash bar, food available for purchase, seating for all

• Bonus: The first 25+ people who sign up get a free DaVinci day pass, courtesy of me!

This is a great chance to meet new people, connect with friends, bring people who are thinking about joining, and hear what other clubs are up to.
