Camp Neidig Presentation
Last week, our sponsored campers to Camp Neidig spoke to us. Camp Neidig is Rotary District 7430’s annual leadership camp for high school students, designed to develop teamwork, communication, and leadership skills through hands-on activities, speakers and group challenges. Held each summer, the camp brings together students from across the region to step outside their comfort zones, build confidence, and form lasting friendships. Through a mix of problem-solving exercises, leadership workshops, and team-building opportunities, participants have to collaborate and use leadership skills to meet a series of challenges.
This year, Teagan and Krishna thoroughly enjoyed their time at Camp Neidig. One of their favorite aspects was the camp’s many problem-solving activities, which challenged teams to work together and think creatively. They both enjoyed the speakers learned that successful teamwork sometimes requires patience, especially when it took a while for all the group leaders to get on the same page. While the cabins were certainly hot during the summer weather, the experience made up for the lack of air conditioning, leaving them with positive memories from the week. A BIG THANK YOU to Mike Waddell for sponsoring such great kids from the EHS Chess Club.
Hi Area 1,
Our first mixer of the year is set for 9/10 in Downtown Allentown, 5-7pm. Details:
•Venue: Arts Walk Pocket Park 65 N Church Street
•What’s provided: Music, cash bar, food available for purchase, seating for all
•Bonus: The first 25+ people who sign up get a free DaVinci day pass, courtesy of me!
This is a great chance to meet new people, connect with friends, bring people who are thinking about joining, and hear what other clubs are up to.
Please RSVP by 9/5 and share this with your club — the bigger the turnout, the better!
Looking ahead, I’d like to hold our next mixer in November.
Happy Birthday!
