Get ready for our SUMMER FESTIVAL!

Mark your calendars for this fun day of working together. Please spread the word & cross your fingers for good weather!
Dear ERC club members,
Our biannual club dues have increased from $110 to $150. This adjustment ensures that our club remains financially healthy and able to support our local priorities.
Rotary International dues currently total $171 per year ($85.50 per half year), and District dues are $45 per year ($22.50 per half year), with an increase expected soon. After covering these required obligations, our club was retaining only $2 per member per half year, an amount that would not sustain our operations if district dues rise further.
To maintain stability and avoid frequent increases in the future, the ERC Board has approved a new biannual dues amount of $150. This change allows us to meet our Rotary commitments while preserving resources for the service projects and initiatives that matter most to our community.
If you have any questions or would like more information, please feel free to reach out to any board member.

Meeting at Juxtahub with a presentation and Tour

ERC's May 30th meeting met at Juxtahub. Our own Gary Guthrie, Juxtahub's board president, gave us a presentation to their new place in Emmaus.

Juxtahub is a collaborative coworking and community space in Emmaus. The space offers flexible work areas, art classes and camps. Classes include arts classes such as ceramics and visual arts, maker and technology workshops, and arts‑and‑innovation programs that blend creativity with practical skills. Juxtahub also hosts community learning sessions, youth and adult education programs, and special workshops led by resident artists and guest instructors, with new initiatives such as arts and innovation summer camps and rotating skill‑based classes introduced as programming expands.

Our club is welcome to attend Juxtahub’s Second Tuesday gatherings, which are open to the community. In addition to these monthly events, Juxtahub regularly hosts workshops, speaker sessions, and special events.

Service Opportunities:

Mission of Mercy in Pennsylvania, known as MOM-n-PA, is returning to the AgriPlex in the Allentown Fairgrounds again this year! This is a two-day free dental mission for our most vulnerable population, primarily those who cannot afford regular dental care.  The event will be held on Friday and Saturday, May 29th and 30th.

We are in need of volunteers to make this mission successful once again. The clinics run from 7:00 AM until 5:00 PM on Friday and Saturday.  Volunteers are encouraged to sign up for a full day session if they can, or choose a half-day option.

Up to 500 lay volunteers are needed for positions such as Patient Ambassadors (escorting patients within the facility), Food Service (helping to serve food to our volunteers and some patients), Patient Registration, Translators (especially Spanish but others as well), and to monitor the patient waiting areas.

We are also in need of people who can physically volunteer to help with the clinic set up on Thursday, May 28th starting at 9:00 AM, or to help break down the equipment starting around 3:00 PM on Saturday.

Registration for volunteers is mandatory (no walk-ins) and volunteers must be 18 years old or older.

Please go to https://www.mom-n-pa.com/ for more information and to register for this event. Tell your friends and family!

Finally, if you cannot volunteer but wish to make a monetary donation to support this mission, please do so at the same website.  Our budget for this program is $250,000 to cover event space, rental equipment, food and dental supplies.  Any donation is truly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide, and I hope to see you at this event!
