Hello Emmaus Rotary,

I miss you guys!!!!

I hope everyone is being safe and staying healthy during these unprecedented times.  It has really been a time to reflect on what is most important in life.  You never really know what you have until some of the things we take for granted are taken away.  However, I remain confident we will come out of this stronger than when we went into it.

Right now we are floating in a very gray area.  Until we have a better grasp of what's around the corner, it is difficult to make decisions on future meetings and events.  Rotary International and Emmaus Rotary is still very much in full effect and I know we are all ready to help in anyway to help greater mankind.

Please feel free to send your comments and suggestions to me or anyone on the Board of Directors.  I will be joining a video Zoom meeting with our District Leaders on Wednesday evening to learn ways and options we can continue to communicate and the possibility of holding online meetings.  So please stay tuned as we all make adjustments to this temporary way of life.

A couple other items.

First, if you receive an email from me or anyone in a Leadership role asking for gift cards or donations, it is a SCAM.   This email and text scam targets businesses and any other venue where they can leverage individuals vulnerabilities during times of need.  So please be careful and reach out to the individual directly to ask if it is real before committing to anything.

Second, if you have not heard already, The Beef N Beer Event has been canceled.  The committee is working on ideas on when to reschedule it, however, the next few weeks will be sure to define when we are able to get back to "normal" meetings and "normal" scheduling.

I encourage everyone to keep positive thoughts.  Work with your Committees on ideas and strategies that will continue to create positive change.  As Rotarians, we are all leaders!  Help those around you stay focused on what is most important.

Please take care everyone.

Yours in Rotary
