Volunteer Literacy Program for Adults (Donley Campus)

Shiloh Sidor has over 13 years of experience in public education, where they served in multiple departments and worked closely with a diverse student population, including neurodiverse students and those requiring special accommodations.

Shiloh is well-versed in Trauma-Informed Care and Social Emotional Learning, and they’ve facilitated multiple student clubs throughout their career. Outside the classroom, Shiloh is a dedicated volunteer with the Eastern Pennsylvania Trans Equity Project, and is one of the primary facilitators of the Beyond the Binary support group through the Lehigh Valley Trans Renaissance.

Currently, Shiloh serves as the Coordinator of Volunteers at Lehigh Carbon Community College, where they lead efforts to recruit, train, and support volunteer tutors. These volunteers work with adults in the community who are learning English or preparing for their GEDs—at no cost to the students. Shiloh will be sharing insights into this impactful program and how it’s changing lives through literacy and learning.
