If you ever have a question about taxes...Chris Wills is the person to ask! Chris is certainly a wealth of knowledge and graciously spent last Thursday morning helping us to navigate the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. We got a crash course on everything from child tax credits and mortgage deductions to hot button issues like alimony payments. We even touched on how technology has come into play regarding virtual currency. Did you know that Bitcoin is taxable? Did you know that because of way that The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 was written it will go away in 2026? This means that new tax proposals will soon need to be examined, planned and prepared. We are fortunate to have Chris as our club treasurer to help us along the way and appreciate him taking time out of the MillerSearles office during his busiest time of year to educate our membership on a topic that can be very overwhelming.
