EMMAUS ROTARY CLUB ASSEMBLY - JANUARY 7, 2016

 
 
The Emmaus Rotary Club has four Club Assemblies during each Rotary Year (July 1 – June 30).  We celebrated the first meeting of January 2016 with our third Club Assembly program for this Rotary Year. 
 
The purpose of the Assembly was to give Committee Chairs an opportunity to share their accomplishments and future plans.  Our committees are the heart and workhorses of ERC.  We thank them for outstanding service.

Public Relations:
  • ERC on Morning Call Community Calendar

Community Service-Literacy/Donations
  • Volunteers for Ben Event for Disabled young adults 7/18

  • Food Collection and cash for Emmaus Food Pantry, first Thurs. of each month
  • Food Concession stand at Das Awkscht Fescht, 7/31 and 8/1
  • Painting and sanding project at Emmaus Historical Society 8/8
  • Collecting, preparing and serving Breakfast at Allentown Rescue Mission 8/8
  • Monthly collection of school supplies for Angel Network of East Penn
  • $5500 donated for playground equipment in Emmaus ($2750 from Club; matched by District Grant); approved and ordered  8/6
  • Cooking and Serving breakfast at Wheels of Time 8/29 (+$340.84)
  • $1032 for Safety workbooks for local police departments 9/3
