Hello Emmaus Rotary Friends!
I wanted to take a moment to share an article I wrote about Emmaus Rotary that will run in the Borough of Emmaus Spring 2023 Newsletter.  One of our Public Image goals this year is to spread awareness about Rotary through community publications. If you are aware of a FREE local newsletter that you think our Club should submit information to, please let me know by sharing contact information for the publication. If you like to write and would like to serve on the Public Image Commitee to help submit articles like this, please reach out to me! I hope many community members read this article and it sparks interest in joining us in Service Above Self.

Shine Bright Friends!

Emmaus Rotary Club Service Above Self

We often hear the question : “So what exactly is Rotary?”.  The truth is that Rotary is a lot of things and can mean different things for each life it touches.

Rotary is a global organization of over 1.4 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves - all while building lifelong friendships in the process. Rotarians are “People of Action”

Our mission: We provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.

What we do: Rotary members believe that we have a shared responsibility to take action on our world’s most persistent issues. Through our 7 areas of focus 46,000+ clubs work together to:

  • Promote peace

  • Fight disease

  • Provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene

  • Save mothers and children

  • Support education

  • Grow local economies

  • Protect the environment

So, how do you want to get involved in Rotary?
Emmaus Rotary is an active and vibrant Club. We invite you to join us to learn more! We meet at Superior Restaurant Thursday mornings at 7:30am (Offering an evening meeting opportunity starting in the Spring.)  You can learn more at EmmausRotary.org & Follow us on Facebook at Emmaus Rotary: Non-Profit Organization.

Distribution continues Wednesdays at Emmaus High School and Lower Macungie Middle School along with additional delivery help coordinated by the Angel Network. We expect this program to continue as long as the community needs the support. We are thankful for individual donations and are seeking community leaders to aid in the long-term sustainability of this program through sponsorships or helpful food supply connections.
