Is it the truth that I read every issue of Rotary magazine…no.  Is it the truth that I should read every issue, yes. For example, the cover page article this month is about RI President Shekhar Mehta, his wife Rashi and their amazing embodiment of everything Rotary.  Reading the article with an overview of Shekhar’s goals and accomplishments just makes me want to be a better Rotarian at the grassroots level which I know I can do surrounded by so many super club members!  Please give the July issue of Rotary magazine a good look if you haven’t already.
Many thanks to Meghan Reed for organizing and facilitating our group attendance at the Iron Pigs game on Friday…great fun, plenty of food [I highly recommend the funnel cake]  a win by the Pigs 11-4, fireworks and a reminder that Fellowship is a very important part of what we do as Rotarians.  Sal/Wade have more pictures…thanks.

Thanks to Eric and AV club for recording the Peter Jones talk last week.  My takeaway is that we want to continue working to be the most Welcoming club that we can be in terms of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion by inviting service-minder people of diverse backgrounds and orientations to be part of our club going forward.  Here’s the link, please take the time to watch it again if you didn’t see it last week.    https://youtu.be/Z9wqa7xP_DI  The iceberg visual was particularly educational to me…how about you?

I’m very excited about our meeting this week…new member induction and Paul Harris awards…both important pieces of what we do as Rotarians, please plan to attend.
