There wasn't a cloud in the sky.  What a fantastic day and incredibly successful event for the Emmaus Rotary Golf Tournament!  Monday will go down in the ERC history books.  Thank you to again to Steve Gould & John Zayaitz for their leadership of the golf committee to what looks to be another record breaking year.  Thank you to each committee member for pushing incredibly hard, especially in the last few weeks.  Much of these efforts can seem thankless, but please know that it's due to these behind the scenes efforts that we have the chance to reach more people in need and make a difference in their lives.

We will await the official results on total net money raised.  I think it's also a highlight that the Master's Raffle, in which we only had 6 weeks to offer, was a big success! There were at least 230 tickets sold. This means the raffle should have raised us at least additional $5500.  Overall, a big thank you as well to all Emmaus Rotarians for their support and certainly take a look at the sponsors and thank them for their support as well.

Note, this Sunday is the Emmaus Main Street Partners Farewell to Summer Festival in downtown Emmaus.  There will be lots of vendors and fund events all day.  We will have tent and table set up during the event to promote Rotary and support our community.  We will mildly solicit donations and earmark the proceeds to go towards Polio Plus;  Rotary International's fund to end Polio worldwide.  This will go towards our support of our Rotary District's event, the Purple Pinkie 5k Run and Fun walk at LCCC on 10/22.  Funds given to sponsor this event are credited to our club as a donation to Polio Plus, and matched 2:1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation towards the Polio eradication effort.

Saturday 9/24 Emmaus Rotary will also be volunteering at the Miracle League.  Thank you Bob Halsey for organizing volunteers for this event.

Keep an eye on the calendar! There are lots of events coming up this fall!
