As the humidity seems to start to break, it's fitting that Sunday was the Farewell to Summer Festival in Emmaus!  Despite an early rain shower, there was a significant number of folks that turned out to the event.  A children's diced cooking competition, a chili cook-off, wing eating competition and even an appearance by Ronald McDonald highlighted events throughout the day. Emmaus Rotary had a booth to bring awareness of the organizations service to humanity. We also did collect donations that will go directly to Rotary International's Polio Plus fund, which is matched 2:1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

This coming weekend Rotarians and Interact students will have a chance to be an angel to a disabled child by helping them play baseball at the Miracle League. It's a wonderful event that has a deep impact on each child.  Thank you for those who are able to assist this weekend and thank you to our leader of the effort, Bob Halsey, for getting us involved.
