At last week’s Changeover Dinner, we celebrated a year of accomplishments and looked ahead to the future as outgoing president Nelly Kabiru officially passed the gavel to incoming president Valerie Deneen.
Nelly’s year of leadership was marked by her generosity of time and her passion for Rotary’s “Rotary Means Business” focus, along with her commitment to fostering new and meaningful opportunities for fellowship. Her intentional effort to greet every member and guest at each meeting reflected her deep care for our club community. Nelly’s leadership and warmth have left a lasting impression that will continue to shape our club moving forward.
We now look ahead with excitement as Val begins her term as president. A dedicated and engaged Rotarian, Val has been actively involved with Emmaus Rotary for many years, serving on the board, leading the Social Media Committee, and contributing at both the club and district levels. In her professional work, she is a Market Trends and Strategic Communication Specialist and the Founder and Creative Director of Inner Child Fun Media, where she helps small businesses and community organizations grow through marketing, storytelling, and strategic insight.
The evening was filled with fellowship and optimism. We thank Nelly for her outstanding leadership and extend our full support to Val as she begins this new chapter.
Happy Birthday!
