Classification talk: Lisa Finkelstein

President‑Elect Valerie Deneen led last week’s meeting, where we had the pleasure of hearing from our newest member, Lisa Finkelstein.

Lisa brings a long list of experience working with non-profits (including Main-street programs). She was initially involved in owning and operating a successful wholesale floral supply business before transitioning to nonprofit leadership.

She has also been an active Rotarian and brings an enthusiasm for service and community engagement.

Recently, Lisa returned to the Lehigh Valley to be closer to family and has stepped into her new role as Executive Director of the Downtown Allentown Alliance.

Lisa is married and has two sons.

We are thrilled to welcome Lisa to our club and look forward to the energy and expertise she brings!

TOMORROW!!
CELEBRATE EMMAUS ROTARY CLUB'S 100TH ANNIVERSARY!

DID YOUR KNOW THAT ROTARY INTERNATIONAL IS ALSO CELEBRATING A BIRTHDAY THIS MONTH?
Rotary International was founded on February 23, 1905, when attorney Paul Harris and three friends formed the first Rotary Club in Chicago, Illinois, to create a fellowship of business professionals. Since its founding, Rotary has grown into a global service organization with over 46,000 clubs and 1.4 million members worldwide. The organization became international in 1910 with the establishment of a club in Winnipeg, Canada, and adopted the name Rotary International in 1922 after expanding to six continents. Over the years, Rotary has been involved in numerous humanitarian initiatives, including the global fight against polio, education programs, and community development projects. As of 2026, counting from its founding in 1905, Rotary International has been active for 121 years, continuing its mission of service above self and fostering international understanding and goodwill.
Our Sergeant-at-Arms shaved his head for charity this week. St. Baldricks Foundation has a more funding and Don has more breeze on top. Way to go Don!
