Feb 19th Meeting at the Mercantile Club
Brookside country club is recovering from a water main break so we met at the Mercantile Club.
Our good friend and Rotarian Treasurer, Chris Wills shared positive recent changes to US Tax Law changes for 2025. As you can imagine, the audience was quite happy about this! Thanks Chris!
DID YOUR KNOW THAT ROTARY INTERNATIONAL IS ALSO CELEBRATING A BIRTHDAY THIS MONTH?
Rotary International was founded on February 23, 1905, when attorney Paul Harris and three friends formed the first Rotary Club in Chicago, Illinois, to create a fellowship of business professionals. Since its founding, Rotary has grown into a global service organization with over 46,000 clubs and 1.4 million members worldwide. The organization became international in 1910 with the establishment of a club in Winnipeg, Canada, and adopted the name Rotary International in 1922 after expanding to six continents. Over the years, Rotary has been involved in numerous humanitarian initiatives, including the global fight against polio, education programs, and community development projects. As of 2026, counting from its founding in 1905, Rotary International has been active for 121 years, continuing its mission of service above self and fostering international understanding and goodwill.
