Thanks for all the hard work on our SUMMER FESTIVAL!
Our Rotarians came out in force! We may not have had the crowds we hoped for and the weather did not behave, but we were a magnificent team and had leaders that thought of every last detail.
Shane Pepe, our Borough Manager
Shane Pepe, Borough Manager of Emmaus since 2012, presented Emmaus's vision at our last meeting. Shane serves as the community’s Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing daily operations and the strategic direction of borough services. With nearly two decades of municipal management experience, he holds a business degree from Seton Hill University and an MBA from Bloomsburg University, and has been recognized professionally as a Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce “Borough Manager of the Year.” Known for his steady, hands-on leadership style, Shane has earned the respect of Borough Council and residents alike for his commitment to fiscal responsibility and maintaining the high quality of life that defines Emmaus.
As highlighted during his recent presentation to Rotary, Emmaus's forward-looking vision for 2026 builds on securing critical grant funding to support infrastructure and community priorities. Notably, Shane has helped lead efforts to obtain more than $11.7 million in state grants and low-interest financing through PENNVEST to remediate PFAS-contaminated wells—an investment projected to save local taxpayers millions while protecting the borough’s water supply. His work in pursuing funding and partnerships continues to position Emmaus well into the future.

JUNE IS ROTARY FELLOWSHIPS MONTH!
Rotary Fellowships deepen connections beyond the club
Rotary Fellowshipsare international, that bring Rotarians together around shared hobbies, professions, or identities. From music and art to sports, history, and technology, fellowships help create a more connected global Rotary community — and offer meaningful ways to build friendships beyond your club. There are over 100 Rotary Fellowships
Rotary Fellowships help participants make lasting friendships outside their own club, district, or country. If you have questions about Rotary Fellowships, please contact our Emmaus Rotarian Alicia Ruiz-Orbin. You will find her e-mail address and phone number in our Club Directory in clubrunner.
