Janet Kolepp 2020-2021 District Governor
Last week our 2020-2021 District Governor Janet Kolepp visited Emmaus Rotrary Club via Vox Tandem. Janet delivered a top notch presentation giving us an overview of District 7430's accomplishments and goals for the 2020-2021 Rotary Year. In true Rotarian ingenuity fashion DG Kolepp made the sure to make her virtual talk interactive by embedding QR Codes for our members to gain quick access to helpful links such as the Rotary Learning Center. (https://learn.rotary.org/) We are encouraged to visit the Rotary Learning Center to explore the vast opportunities available to us to grow our knowledge and impact our club. There are many training modules of interest for all members to learn from; and now every Rotarian in the world has access to Toastmasters International leadership and communication training through a joint initiative with Rotary International. (Talk about adding value to our Rotary membership right!!! So be sure to check it out!)
Janet reviewed the importance of Rotary's public image campaign to spread the word about Rotary's service work through various social media outlets now including a LinkedIn page for District 7430. A recap of 2019-2020 successes:
- 34 clubs qualified for Rotary Club citations.
- We added 4 clubs and had a +41 Net District Membership gain, the best in Zone 28 & 32!
- Our District was #1 in the USA in ShelterBox giving!
- All 45 clubs participated in PolioPlus giving!
- 37 clubs participated in District Grant projects!
- 33 clubs were awarded Youth Program awards
