Please join us this Thursday night for an important meeting and service event. We will gather at the Willow Lane Elementary School cafeteria at 5:45 PM and work together to package 20,000 meals for the East Penn Community. Though we are fortunate to live in a beautiful, bountiful area, there are still many among us that are struggling to make it. These meals will be an aid to help them as they seek to get back on their feet.
No experience is needed. Hair nets, gloves and equipment is provided by "The Outreach Program". Hoagies, chips, cookies, fruit and water will be provided for dinner. We ask that Rotarians please pay their $13-$15 which will help cover the 20,000 meals. Guests will not be asked to pay. You are welcome to bring friends, family or future Rotarians to participate.
To package the food you will be organized into production lines of twelve people. Each production line can package about 2000 meals per hour. Thus, if we get at least 60 people, we should be able to package all of the 20,000 meals by 8:00 PM. If we get 100 people we'll be done in close to an hour. Thank you for your dedication to people in need and I look forward to seeing you on Thursday night!
